COMA is thrilled to announce that Teresa Baker (b. Born 1985 in Mandan/Hidatsa) will be included in the 2026 edition of the Whitney Biennial.
Curated by Marcela Guerrero and Drew Sawyer, Baker will present new works alongside fifty-five other artists and collectives in the Whitney Museum of American Art's eighty-second Whitney Biennial, opening March 8, 2026. Still untitled, next year's edition promises to explore modern life in all its complexities and connections.
Teresa Baker (Mandan/Hidatsa, b. 1985, Watford City, ND, USA) is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes in Western, ND and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Through a mixed media practice combining AstroTurf, buffalo hide, yarn, bark, and paint, Baker creates abstracted landscapes that explore vast space, and how we move, see and explore within them.
