Eleanor Louise Butt sat down with the Museum of Contemporary Art, Australia to discuss her practice and her studio talisman, a bespoke mug from the historic Leech Pottery in St. Ives, Cornwall, UK, where she spent time at the Porthmear Studios for an artist residency in 2019.
In this video, the artist recalls how the mug – together with the dramatic Cornwall coastline - gave her the courage to create bigger, bolder paintings during her residency.
