Australian artist Eleanor Louise Butt is currently featured in the group exhibition, Canvas & Clay at Gippsland Art Gallery, Victoria, with her painting Compressed form (raw umber and white abstraction III) (2020), held in the Gallery’s permanent collection.
Bringing together a selection of paintings and ceramics from the collection, the exhibition explores the relationships between the two mediums, considering their shared approaches to material, form and surface, alongside the distinct possibilities of each.
Canvas & Clay is on view at Gippsland Art Gallery until 22 November 2026.
